In
1999, Cascade Solar received funding to operate the solar radiation data
monitoring site for the Portland, OR metropolitan area. |
|
The Portland Area Regional Solar Radiation Data Monitoring Station measures three types of solar radiation using pyranometers - horizontal global radiation, radiation from the south (tilted at 30 degrees), and beam radiation. A datalogger captures this data, including temperature, every 5 minutes. The University of Oregon Solar Center processes this data. Also, Cascade Solar writes monthly reports about the data, and you can receive these reports with a subscription with CSC. |
